The youngest of a big midwestern family I was lucky enough to grow up north of Chicago in a community that offered enormous opportunities. I received my first art scholarship when I was 11 and then I was off to the races. After I finished my BFA at the Cleveland Institute of Art I moved to Brooklyn, following my dream of illustrating and designing my own ideas and those of others. Life has many twists and turns and somehow, I became a toy inventor. But whether it is digital art or paint on hardboard, I have always made art. Waking up to work in color every day is a great privilege. And every day I try to art harder.
